This second series of Custom Cartwrights will feature moments shared by the Cartwright brothers, some of which are shown in various episodes and others which are imagined.  All are based on the TV show and the Cartwright brother's well-known hi-jinks.  Each piece will be unique and one of a kind, though more than one piece may be based on the same idea.  

 

'Goin' Fishin' is the second in this series.  One of the Cartwright boy's favorite pastimes was fishin'.  In real life this passion was shared by actor Michael Landon.  As is usually the case when Little Joe is involved, somehow he gets the upper hand!  

 

​This piece features two American Character action figures painted to represent the Cartwright brothers, Hoss and Little Joe, during the first season of the show.  Both figures are hand painted and have custom hair.  Hoss' blondish-red hair comes from an antique doll and Little Joe's is made of acrylic curls.  Little Joe has hand painted features and wears a faux leather vest and leather string tie.  The brothers are sitting in a hand painted wooden boat with all of the necessities for a day on the water - a basket of food and drink lovingly prepared by Hop Sing, a bucket for their catch, extra fishing tools. oars and, of course, Little Joe's black hat.
