Immerse yourself in a journey through time as we transport you to an era of rugged adventure and captivating melodies. The Johnston Farm & Indian Agency's 2024 Celtic Heritage Event promises an unforgettable experience for history enthusiasts, music lovers, and families alike. For the price of admission, visitors can enjoy the music, wander through the camps, watch or partake in the Highland Games, visit the Johnston House, take a ride on an historic canal boat, purchase wares, and delight the taste buds with a variety of culinary offerings.

Admission General Public:

Adult: $10.00 per day
Children: $5.00 per day

Children 2 and under: FREE

There is no charge for parking

Saturday May 25th only

 

Pipers, Bands, and Dancers on stage.  Come and be enchanted by the soul-stirring melodies of Celtic music, the haunting tunes of bagpipers, live performances by talented bands, and the lively rhythms of traditional dancers.

Saturday May 25th  & Sunday May 26th

Visit the Mountain Man encampment and experience the rugged and adventurous lifestyle of mountain men, offering a glimpse into the past with authentic encampments, demonstrations, and storytelling.

Tour the Historic Johnston House.  We invite guests to step back in time by exploring the meticulously restored 1815 Federal-style home of John and Rachel Johnston, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of a bygone era.

The Indian, Frontier & Canal Museum showcases the rich history and culture of our region through engaging museum exhibits that educate and entertain visitors of all ages.

Take a ride on the replica 1835 Gen'l Harrison canal boat, pulled by mules, offering a serene journey along a restored portion of the Miami & Erie Canal at 12:30, 1:30 or 3:30 each day.  Tickets are required and are issued at the museum.  NOTE: If interested in taking a ride, it is advised to get your ticket upon your arrival as the rides will sell out quickly.  

Sunday May 26th only

 

Come and watch a contest of Highland strength or, if you want, you can join in - so long as you are wearing a wee bit of plaid!  Contests will include Sheaf Pitch, Sheaf Toss, Stone Throw and Stone Heave, Caber Toss, Haggis Toss, Whiskey Run, and Tug 'O War.
